Default vibration in gas pedal

I have a 2005 H2, purchased it in 2008 with only 24k miles on it. Gas prices back then were over $4 a gallon so I got it cheap and from an auction for $26,500. Anyway, I take great care of my truck, I now have 58k miles on it. Anyway enuf for the history, a few months ago, I started feeling a vibration in gas pedal, usually between 20-50 mph, not a violent vibration but a vibration that I know was not there before. I could also feel it on floor on drivers side if I have truck on cruise. I already changed the maf sensor but that did not fix this issue. I had the dealer test the Cats and they are well within specs. I am changing my front and rear diff fluids on Thursday, its due anyway. Anyone have any idea what this could be?

BTW, I just ordered a front grill and the GOBI roof cage along with the PIAA 520 Series fog lights. All this will be installed week of July 9h when I get everything. I will post pics once im done.

Check your pitman arms, it could be loose. Mine had this exact vibration for a good 6 months before the pitman arm broke. It was most noticeable to me when I was around 30-40 mph, kind of cruising along. Could feel it in the pedal itself and the floorboard a bit. Arm was replaced, vibration is gone.

I checked the pitman arm and it wasnt loose. I changed both front and rear diff fluid and i still have that slight vibration bet 30 - 50mph. It happens anywhere bet those speeds. It not a big vibration but i feel it because its my truck. Dont know what else to try.

I took truck for a nice 100 mile ride yesterday and concentrated on the vibration in gas pedal. While accelerating you can feel a lot of vibration bet 20-55mph. I put it on cruise and touch gas pedal with foot and I still felt it but not as bad as when accelerating. Could it be exhaust? Cats? Tranny? I dont know what else to try.

So this weekend I'm driving my truck on highway and not only do I feel the vibration in pedal at 40mph but now bet 55-65mph, I hear a droning sound. Brought it to dealer to take a drive with mechanic, he thinks its a hub bearring. Lets hope this is the cause of this vibration and drone sound. Need it fixed today because I am driving down to South Carolina early Tues morning. I will post the outcome later.

its not the wheel bearrings. They said its something with the front differential. Does anyone have any experience with fixing the front differential?

All I know is good luck in finding a new one. It's currently back ordered through Hummer. 15 dealers in the country have ONE in stock and aren't happy about parting with it. I needed a new one a month ago, my shop managed to find one in Michigan from a dealer who had 2 in stock. Junkyard might be your best bet.

Do the Hummer dealers rebuild these diffs? Or do they just buy rebuilt ones and install them? Are rebuilt diff's not reliable?

Now dealer says they dont know what the noise is. They are not sure its the front diff. They were saying it might be coming from my roof cage or front brush grille. I said how could that be? The noise is from 45-65mph and on acceleration. I said since the vibration is in pedal and noise is definitely coming from under the car it cant be the roof cage or brush guard.

I did wire brush the rust on bottom of truck and spray rustoleum. Could that have caused this groaning sound from 45-65mph? it did start happening right after this.

I had a somwhat similar problem in the 05 I had. Turned out the tires (front) were "cupped" I had a bad suspension part, and it wore the tires unevenly.
It's worth a shot to check?

Once the front end was fixed, aligned and new tires, I was all good.

I had a vibration in the gas pedal and on the floorboard by the emergency brake. When I got new tires and had the front end aligned it disappeared. My guess is alignment and tires also.

Tires are brand new but one could be defective i guess but the issue only started right after installing the brush grille and gobi roof cage. I'm going to take off the grille and test drive it.

Sounds like the alignment to me. Could also be loose steering. Pretty sure it has to do with your wheels though, that is almost where all of that stuff comes from, something with your front wheels/rims/suspension/alignment.

Could also have something to do with the locked 4 wheel drive or locked diff being on, though I am sure you would have checked this... right?

I had truck with dealer for a week. Checked everything in front end, alignment, checked front diff, tires, everything was checked locked diff is not on. My steering is tight and pitman arm checked and it's fine. Tires are new and I didn't have this vibration/droning sound for the first 7 months with my new tires. This droning sound just started happening the same day I put on my brush grille and gobi cage. I'm taking the brush grille off this week and then test driving it. I will let you guys know what happens with the test drive.
