Default H3 Tire Problems....

So these are my stock Bridgestone tires 33". The H3 has 15,000 on it and 4 of the 5 tires are cracking. The cracking is in the outer valley of the treds and goes around the whole tire.
Should this be covered under the warranty? Should I be concerned? Any thing else?

Dam ! I Have my H3 1 year 10 months 31k ,aired down to 18lbs too many times to count ,rubbed rocks ,curbs ect and Ny winters with salt on the roads ,never garaged and mine look great.

I would show it to the sevice guy at the dealer and see what they can do.

I have kelly tires on my 442 that were put on used in 1994 and they arent dry rotted.I dont understand why they dont wear out ,I spin them all the time.

I'm sure it's not covered under warranty - but i would definitely take it to the dealership and say WTF. See what they have to say. Maybe they will replace them for you.
15K is way too early for them to be looking like that. I know I wouldn't feel too secure driving on them. If they won't replace them for free, maybe they can get you a good deal.

To tell you the truth I am nervous driving on the highway with the kids, you know. The dealer is over 100 miles away and I talked to them by phone yesterday and they asked me to email them pictures, I have not heard from them yet...

Call them. Do it now. Express your concern with even driving it. Tell them you need an answer NOW on what they're going to do.

Truthfully, they don't look that bad. I think you're safe to drive it. Just don't break any land speed records.

But the fact is, that shouldn't be happening to tires with so few miles on 'em. I'd be pissed if they didn't do something for you.

Keep us posted!

Well the service rep called me back, He forwarded the email to the service manager guy and as soon as he is back from lunch they will talk and then get back to me. The rep says it def doesn’t look right, but its up to the service manager guy to make the official call. So hopefully I'll get a call in the next hour or so.

No need to raise this to the next leval, so far so good, BUT if there are any problems I will be flying the BS flag, especially because I bought the wheel/tire warranty coverage the dealership was pushing when I bought my H3

Cant check out the manual, cuz I am at work for two more days and my H3 is about 80 miles away from me right now.

There's no way the tires should look that bad so soon. Be sure to emphasize your safety concerns (valid or not) with the kids and all. Good luck!

From the warranty book:

Tire Coverage
The tires supplied with your vehicle are covered against defects in material or workmanship under the Bumper-to-Bumper coverage. Any tire replaced will continue to be warranted for the remaining portion of the Bumper-to-Bumper coverage period.

Following expiration of the Bumper-to-Bumper coverage, tires may continue to be covered under the tire manufacturer's warranty. Review the tire manufacturer's warranty booklet or consult the tire manufacturer distributor for specific details.
