Here's a few pics of our recent trip to Northern Cal. Weather was unbelievably beautiful, squirrels and beer were plentiful. These were the pics taken from a digital camera. I'll have more when I get the others developed. If I can figure out how to download video you be treated to footage of how to sink an H2, not once, but twice.

Enviromentalist-wackos should be very interested in what H2s might be carrying.

My weekend hood ornament. I drove back to Portland with this zip-tied to my brushguard. It was fun to watch people's eyes get wide in the rearview mirror when I came up behind them on the highway.

Coming down the back side of The Cinder Cone. This pic is the first that I've seen that truly captures the steep angle of The Cone. The surface is like medium to fine volcanic gravel. Driving down is more like sliding. Pucker factor is about a 9.

This would have been a great mud-slinging pic, but I was a little late and Rick was a little fast.

DRTYFN,

Great pictures. Looks like you got the heavy artillery too. What's a Hummer without a little artillery. That had to be a fun day. No terrain like that in Florida. I'll take that back, Lots of mud and swamp terrain.

Those powdercoated rims are awesome. My GY's are sitting in the garage on the stock rims. Seeing your pics has convinced to dismount them tomorrow and get them to the powder coated guy.

Thanks for posting the pics.

Actually, it was 5 days of fun. LOTS of shooting, LOTS of 4Xing and LOTS of beer. I think I've had my fill of beer for this year.

Love those rims DRTYFN. Blacking out chrome on the pewter looks quite awesome. Great pics, too. Thanks!

Are those empty shell casings on the floor in the third picture down? If they are, did you even hit what you were aiming at while you were driving?

Yes, those are empty casings. Those are only a fraction of the casings(.22 &.223) that landed there. We like to drive around the edges of the alfalfa fields and shoot the squirrels while in the comfort of the H2. And don't worry- I always stop before taking a shot. Unless there's chance at getting a shot off at an enviro-nut.
