Default Need to buy a wiper motor and module. Where from?

Well the wipers are sounding very tired, and it continously dumps washer fluid on the rear screen. Anyone know where i can buy the complete unit of motor and module?

Try GM Parts Direct at http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/ ????
Go to the "catalog" tab on the home page, agree to "terms and conditions" in the next window, enter truck info and go to the "Windshield" section then be prepared for sticker shock....Wiper Motor $217.21 Module $156.78 for a 03-07 model year.

Edit, oops, just seen you are in the UK, don't know if they will ship, sorry if not.

Ok. I will give them another look and maybe contact them direct. The only thing thats put me of them,is that the catalogue diagrams of the wiper motor and module bear no resemblance to the actual wiper motor and module. Its a long way to ship back and costly if its wrong.

Never looked at the diagram while looking it up and making the post but I did this morning and you are correct, it doesn't look the same

Does say at the bottom that you should....

Before proceeding with check out, please confirm part number with our customer service at customerservice@gmpartsdirect.com Parts ordered without confirmation are not eligible for return.

Good luck, Ed

Just to bump this back up. Ive sourced a remanufactured wiper motor from Rockautos. But i cant locate a module. Ive had no joy with GM parts direct getting back to me with an e-mail confirming if they stock one or not. I'm appealing to my fellow Hummer brethren for any help with this. As next month the vehicle will need an m.o.t to be used on the road. If the washer jets dont work then i wanted be granted an m.o.t and wont be allowed to use it on the road. Mark

If your just concerned about the washer dumping fluid on the rear window and the wipers motors are still functioning, you dont need to replace it. I'm betting it dumps the washer fluid when you hit the brakes...

Do a search off my username, I made a post about water getting in the motor assembly. Basically pull off the airboxes, and panel, pop off the bottom cover on the motor where the wire harness plugs in and take out the board. There will be carbon tracks from water directly tracking across the lowest point on the board. Clean that **** off, glop the board up w/ some electrical grease over all the components and put it back together w/ some silicone. Problem solved.

this is an old post but over the last few days here in CA we have had severe rain... wipres acting up... only fast speed, and water dumping out at rear screen.

vehicle was parked front upwards in drive way so suspected rain in motor or something.
pointed nose downward over night and wipres starting working again.

but as soon as i put ignition on water dumping out at the back.
took out relay to stop water .. wipers seem ok but no front washers.

tried to find your post about strip down has it been moved?

thanks

must of posted my pics of the tear down on another site.. Pretty much the same as this post, but I had a few more pics than Easy Ed -

http://www.elcovaforums.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=29583

The straight side of the board opposite/back side is where you will find the problem, its the lowest point, should pull out of the housing....I know I completely removed the board to clean it and seal it up. I actually had carbon tracks like in an old distributor on mine.

If you have an 05+, there's a recall specifically for this reason.

I think mine really has had it though. I followed some of the threads on here regarding the trouble with the module. I stripped mine out. Cleaned up the circuit board,re-sealed. Everything was fine for a few weeks. Then i got the fluid pumping out the rear as soon as i touched the ignition. Ive now left the fuse out altogether.

Did you actually coat the board in some type of electrical grease? Or just seal up the box? If you did, you should be able to damn near submerge the board in water and it will still work.

<<< I would appreciate the recall if you can get a hold of it... I am going to call my local dealer. I am out of warranty with 72,000 miles but worth a try.. the cluster has also started acting up....never ends >>

THANKS

Desperate now for a supplier of the module. GM parts direct do not ship outside the U.S and Rockauto,s do not stock the part. Does anyone know of anyone else that would hold the part and who do ship internationally???.Really desperate now.
