I have been reading alot about "Throttle body spacers", "Air intake kits" and other things.
#1) Do they really work?
#2) If so, Why don't GM make them like that, since it increqases HP and Milage?
#3) Do these modifications affect the warranty?

1. Can't say for a Hummer, but they did very little for a Vette. The body spacer does help very minimally in hot weather to help the air flow cool, but not worth the price, in a Vette.
2. GM has to balance costs, emissions, and mileage and come to a happy medium. If the spacer costs to not cause a mileage increase or emission decrease, it is not worth it. Believe me, everything is tried. If GM can scrape a mile per gallon more out of a vehicle, they will do their best.
3. yes and no. Really depends on the problem. Replace and item that affects any sensor, and yes the warranty for that part, or for that condition will be voided. If the engine blows up, chances are it will still be under warranty. It all depends on the modification and what it affects. (Add a supercharger and I guarantee the engine will be out of warranty .)
Just remember, that the Dealer cannot void a warranty, they don't issue the warranty. They act as a representative of GM. They can explain the problem to GM, but only GM can refuse warranty work...unless the dealer can consider it a hazard. (Example, lowered Vettes were hard to work on, and some dealers refused to attempt to drive them on a hoist for fear of body damage.)

Things I have found that worked:
1) Better air filter i.e K&N
2) Snthetic oil
3) After market exhaust
all of the above made SLIGHT and quickly forgetable differences.
and if you want your "money's worth" and a REAL difference...
supercharge or turbo charge
MAJOR DIFFERENCE that makes the first 3 options very forgetable...

Thanks guys for the info.
I don't really want to spend hundreds of dollars for no or little performance improvement.
I looked at the supercharger for the H3.
I don't understand why it cost $5k +/-.
I had a supercharger on my Nissan Frontier.
It was a $1,500 factory option.
There was a very noticable gain in HP, but it also had terrible gas milage compared to the plain V6.
Also afer four years of use, the only problems I had were related to the super charger, and it was covered under warranty, Because it was a fatory option.
PS: Is it OK to use synthetic oils?
Pages 5-13 to 5-16 is very specific about engine oils. I thought that maybe it has something to do with the aluminum engine.

The owner's manual states:
"Use only engine oil identified as meeting GM Standard GM6094M and showing the American Petroleum Institute Certified For Gasoline Engines starburst symbol."
Mobil 1 meets and exceeds GM6409M, since it also meets GM spec GM4718M. GM4718M is a higher spec for oil and the spec required for oil usage in LS1, LS2, LS6 and LS7 Corvette engines, as well as the Northstar Supercharged engine used in the STS-V.
These are all aluminum engines with aluminum heads.
Since I have only used Mobil 1, I can't speak for Valvoline, Pennzoil, etc.; however, I would bet they also meet and exceed the oil spec for the I-5 engine with their synthetic oils.

To get any noticeable increase in HP usually money and a well laid plan are the only way you will get it. Air intake systems, exhausts etc. are all made to complement one another. Any increase you may "Feel" in your vehicle after adding one component of an intake, exhaust etc. is usually minimal at best without the full system.(Under most circumstances)Or you could just go this route: Instant Gratification
