Roof Rails
Took my 3 in this morning to D&D Hummer (Davenport Ia. ) to get my new roof rails installed. Very painless. I was in and out in 40 minutes. Man they have great service there. The service rep said there getting alot of the new rails now, so the Hummer3 nation should be good to go. The new rails fit like a glove. He said they also taped down inside the front pillar rails because buyers were complaining about wind noise there. Humm,, tape,, wonder how long that will last ? The new rails are very solid now, so life is good here in Rivertown for me. On vacation this week,, Time to go play ! See ya,,,

I have found that to be true since the day I found this site back in March last year

Just had mine replaced on Tuesday. This is the part #'s on my invoice, I have no idea if they are for the new rails of just an internal stock #.

Re: Roof Rails
When I get to about 68-70 mph on the freeway, I hear a noise (like a crackling sound) coming from the left A pillar area. It almost sounds like the windshield is going to crack. The dealer said it's wind going through the left air intake vent when the wind hits at a certain angle. (huh?) Would this be the same sound as a cracked roof rail? What type of sound is that? Maybe that's the problem I have.
