Default No hood insulation on the H3?

I just noticed that the wife's new H3 does not have any hood insulation underneath. Is this the norm? thanks!

None on mine either (2006 H3 lux), probably GM feels that it doesn't do anything to lower interior sound level.

you can purchase one if you want and it even has the H3 logo on it. i think several people on here got them a while ago, theres a thread and pics on this if your interested.

Those people that purchased it said it does not help with insulating sound (at least thats what i think i heard, could be wrong, check the thread link below), but it looked pretty good.

heres the link to that tread: http://www.elcovaforums.com/forums/s...ood+insulation
