Default AT&T UVerse Service is pretty freakin cool

Well, I bought it. They installed it today. As as much as I dislike AT&T's customer service (in the past) - I couldnt turn down this service.

For 150.00 I get currently 6meg Down and 1 Meg UP internet and over 300 Channels of TV with more HD programming than Dish Network had wich i was pretty happy with overall. In the near future the bandwidth is supposed to double.

The entire setup runs over the internet. Thus, I am watching TV through the internet which is nuts. On the TV side of things I am getting 30megs for TV bandwidth.

My connection is fiber to the "curb" and then they switch to VDSL to the house for a short hop. I happen to be under 200ft from the VRAD service box.

They ran CAT5 cable to my rooms with TVs and my set top boxes connect to my internet hub via cat5e - LOL nuts...

The quality of the signal is a little better than dish networks which was pretty dam good. So needless to say I am tickled

Also, since its webbased, I can login to my account on the net from anywhere I can tell my TVs at home to record shows while I am away at the office through the web account.

Next, they are saying that you will be able to view your recorded content from your webaccount wherever you are

I have the same package. Too good to pass up. AT&T is definitely not the same company as it was 2 years ago. They're really focusing on customer service this time around.

Not available in my area. Typical.

Sounds interesting though. May have to look into it more. Although its more expensive than my current DSL and DirecTV.

Well in this case I am saving tons of money. I have a home office which I have a T1 here costing around 800.00 a month. Plus I pay 125.00 a month for satelite.

So my bill went down from 925.00 to 150.00 a month saving 775.00 a month.

And I now have a faster connection to boot.. Just cant beat it...
