Are you guys getting the LoJack stolen vehicle recovery system? I'm not sure if I should get it or not... please let me know your thoughts..

If you have "OnStar", you have built-in GPS vehicle location with the system.

Don't waste your money. Onstar will track it if it is stolen after you file a police report and get a report number. The bad guys hate Onstar.

ONStar is cool,

Too bad its being copied by Honda or Toyota(forgot which one). It's called something like G-BOOK. It's LUDICROUS. What don't they copy?

You guys are right, OnStar will help too... I'll just pass on getting the LoJack system then... thanks for the input!

I'll pass on LoJack also. Finding out that with OnStar they can track my vehicle, if stolen, weither it's moving or stationary. Also, sometimes adding could invalidate your warranty.

Well, it was the dealer who recommended it, they said they would install it for me and even offered a discount... anyway... I will not get it

I don't think Honda is. Honda actually uses OnStar in some of their Acura models. GM uses Honda's J30 engine in some of their cars (forget which ones) so I'm sure they have some sort of deal worked out where GM has allowed Honda to offer Onstar.

Not trying to make waves, but here are my thoughts on LoJack (Trying to not sound like a dealer here ) The onstar thing is great, IF the person who steals your car doesn't rip off the antenna on the top of the car. Its as easy removing that which makes it un-trackable...LoJack is hidden in one of 40 different places in your car, and has some pretty sweet guarantees (like 100% reimbursement of lojack system if your car isn't recovered in 24 hours)...That may be easier than dealing w/ an insurance agency and getting a new H3 -- most people have to wait long enough in the first place! heh heh...sorry for the pitch, but if you're really worried about getting your car back after its stolen, you may want to at least consider it.
