snapping tie rod - video
Am I right that this is a tie rod snapping on the H2? Ouch!!!

No it's actually a prototype of the H2 with 4-wheel steer setting up to do an in place spin, sort of like the Jeep Hurricane concept.

h2 is a too expensive truck to have tie rods braking. should have been built better.

actually it should, its called a crumple zone. It is designed to absorbe the energy of the impact by incresing the time it takes for the vehicle(s) to stop. It is a very good design choice, saves many lives.

hmmm....... funny thing. people say the same thing about the tie rods. They break, like a fuse, to lessen the damage to more vital parts.
