Default need some innovative thoughts on how to squeeze my h2 in a garage

I will be renting a beach front condo in the next few months, everything is tits on it EXCEPT H2 is too tall to fit in it with the roof rack removed. It is a few inches off. I have 37s with 20 inch rims, main problem is with the rear sticking up. Any ideas? I cannot make any adjustments to the property since I am renting and off site storage is expensive and not compatible with my needs. Buying stock rims is an option but then it will look like ass . I was thinking of deflating the tires from 50 PSI to probably 32 to see if it helps ( they are TOYO tires) not sure if that would do the trick. I dont drive much when I am there so the decrease in MPG will not be a huge factor with deflated tires. Or maybe I would just put a ton of weight in the rear to bring it down?

Any thoughts?

A few inches? You can't do anything except modify the garage opening to solve that problem. Rim size won't make any difference. What counts is tire size.

Just pull the truck in until you hear metal and then leave it there!

Had the same problem. I removed my roof racks, went back to the stock rims and tires and adjusted the automatic garage door motor to pull the door all the way back when it's up. I miss my big tires and wheels, but I don't miss having to get into the Hummer outside in the snow, scraping ice off the windshield, having it get spotted in overnight rain, or watching hail bounce off of it during thunderstorms. After three big hail storms in my life and watching two cars get really messed up, as well as the roof of the house, having all the vehicles in the garage is a big plus for me.

How many inches? Drop the pressure in the tires, pull it in, then pump them up. Just don't forget to repeat the process when you go to pull it out.

I would never pump it up once back in the garage. Only a matter of tiem before you or someone else forgets!

Pull it out and pump it back up!

Do you at least clear the garage opening? I've got 37" BFG MTs and I could clear the garage opening, just not the garage door. Like HummerJim said, I adjusted the garage door so it pulls back further, now I can slide right in (without the roof rails...but I took the roof rails off years ago.) It takes up every square inch of my garage space...but I can get it in there.

Thanks for the responses, will try to deflated the tires but I doubt that will resolve the issue.. most likely will have to put it in storage for that 9 months or so... would love to leave it outside but its near the beach and parking is in shortage and a biatch!

Dude if you're gonna seriously pay to put it in a storage for 9 months it would be WAAAAAAAy cheaper to find a used beat up set of stock OEM wheels for like $200 on Craiglist and go to a Mexican Tire shop and get 4 used 17" LOWER than stock profile tires and toss them on and put it in the garage, might as well leave it in there for 9 months than to pay storage for 9 months IMO

Any thoughts on how the h2 will run with stock tires and 4:56 gears? I know with the smaller/lighter tires it will bump up my mpg's a bit but im curious how it will run on the freeway/city.

Ummmmm isnt there somthing you guys are forgetting??? DEFLATE THE REAR AIR SUSPENSION! Done.

If the truck has the air, and of course you would need to install some sort of air soloniod or valve to do this...

I need to do the same to fit my H2 into the lower level of my stacker trailer.

I would step down to a 35" tire and be done with it. The gears will likely give you a nice boost in terms of city mileage but you may suffer a tad on the highway.... no biggie.
