I use a heavy duty rope.

They're really cool people there, but they can be hard to understand with the Mexican accent and all.

There has got to be a reason for the angle but to me it sure looks like he is going up hill, not down.

Looks like the sand is more compact where the recovery vehicle (Nissan Patrol I belive) is and he is tring to get the Hummer over to that area.

Notice how Bin-Laden keeps the momentum going as he almost takes out Zarkawi who is at the top watching. This technique and style of off-raoding is where the term "Dune Coon" was coined. I belive these specimens are pull-start rather than the Indian varietey, push-start.

It's just dumb. So much energy was lost due to trying pull the H2 sideways into the sand, the rear of Ahab's rig jerks around and gets on a more parallel pull. Just not a lot of thought was put into it.

Look at what it was doing to the 2.

Im most likely wrong, I usually am, but in the screen capture Paragon posted the people in the background appear to be lower than the truck like their standing in a bowl. Also it appears the camera person is looking down on the whole thing due to the angle the picture was taken. Pretty lame recovery IMHO at any rate.
