Actually makes me sort of smile over the possibilities....although perhaps lost ones now.....another Oh Well !! Actually, everything I know about him says "Nice Guy"....so no worries.

As to the resell on the Avalanche....seems to be doing fine in my local market. Used are hard to come by. But there are only so many disappointments one can have before the words "enough" come out. Also, heard fom someone that also works for GM just recently that some of the Hummer design engineers were over heard muttering that they are wary about how good this first year H3 will be.

I still think the H3 is one fine looking machine and will continue to watch what you all say about it here. I usually buy a new car every year for someone in the family, so my cycle is quite short.

The testing that went into the H3 was extensive. All first year models will need PCM upgrades and have some bugs. Check out the H2 at the current promotion you could get a loaded one for 45

I picked up my Avalanche this morning and immediately went on a 60 mile trip doing my best (using every trick in the book I learned from my Prius) to maximise my mileage and got 24.3 mpg. Then this evening I went on a 25 mile trip to dinner and back with A/C on and a heavier foot and got 21.3 mpg. I will admit these seem beyond too good to be true but that is what the trip computer stated.

The terrain was basically flat as I live on the coast of Virginia. I will post my MPG again after I fill up and then won't comment any more as I respect that this is an H3 site, but hope I made enough friends here to share this with. And then of course there is DRTYFN......

Hang in there.....seems most of the posts I have read here and elsewhere are from happy H3 owners. I remain pleasantly surprised by my Av but it certainly isn't for everyone.

Now, what I am keeping a wary eye on is the new Internationals when they come out.....hmmmm
