Default Few issues with my 03 H2

Been a while since I last posted here (my H2 has been quite reliable over the last 5 years of ownership). Anyways, I have two problems - any advice of how to fix would be great:

1) my speedo sometimes only works for the first 30 minutes of driving; then the needle starts to show way less speed than actual, especially when starting from a red light; then shortly afterwards the needle is totally dead. I find when it gets totally dead, it stays that way until I have let the H2 sit until the following day - then all is good again. Sometimes the 30 minute thing does not occur, where other times it happens frequently.

2) on my steering wheel, the 'program' button (to change the radio station from one saved station to another) does not illuminate once the sensor turns on the headlights and interior dash lights - the other buttons on the steering wheel are illuminated except this one - how hard is it to change the bulb?

Thanks

Sounds like the instrument cluster problem they had on some H2s. When it gets hot it fails and when it cools, it's OK. I've seen some posts on that cluster problem which seems to mianly affect '03 through '05. I'm not sure if it's more cost effective to just replace the speedometer or get an entire cluster if you could find one on Ebay?
As for the light, I'd live with it, getting to the bulb can result in some marring of the steering wheel if not done professionally.

The speedometer problem was just as common to the 03 to 05s as was the ignition switch problem.
