That’s great that it’s tucked up and doesn’t affect approach angle but with no access to the spool how can you tell if the cable is spooling properly. With that roller fairlead you can barely even see through the front slot. Is there any easy access to the winch if you have any problems such as a back lash or broken cable? It looks good though.

I think i'd rather have a receiver hitch in the same position (with some mechanism to lock in the pin). Then you could have a removeable winch mount + it would likely be better for approach angle.
