That is a great deal! Not much time to act on it however.

A new H3 adventure for under 25K. Outstanding

i love the way troubled us corporations like gm continue to use spin. in its tv ads for the employee discount, gm says its all because the company is celebrating its 100th anniversary -- as opposed to the real fact that gm is in desperate straits and needs to move product as fast as possible at fire sale prices. i just put up a new thread that the wall street journal reports today -- friday -- that it has begun formal talks with potential buyers of the brand and plans to use the revenue it generates from the sale of hummer to produce small, fuel efficient cars. my lease on my 07 h3 lux ends in february. i hope i can buy it a true fire sale price.

The Kansas City Hummer dealership sent out an email today saying that the GM employee pricing was about $27,000 for a pretty standard H3. I laughed at the email and hit the delete button.

I bought my 08 H3 with 4100 miles on it for $21,399.00.

KC Hummer can kiss my backside. They are doing nothing but adding profit onto what should be a lower price.

Thats employee price. Then deduct the $6000 or $7000 rebate and presto, roughly 10K off.

Can anyone find a new 2008, Manual trans, Adv Pkg, w/o sunroof? Id gladly buy one.

here is the link to the calculator (in case some overlooked it), it calculates cash back (rebate) as well, so you get about 25% off of Alpha for instance (approx $40k->$30k):

http://www.gm.com/summersale/summers...g=en&year=2008

I think the prices are right, I wish I wanted/needed '08 H3; I'll however either wait for '09, or just stick with my current one for now - I had nothing but joy with my H3, and although I would want those lockers and V8, I think I may easily get by without them for now. But, if these prices included '09 models, I would be seriously into swap for that dual locker black Alpha... would also depend how much dealer would give for trade-in off course, but I sort of got idea (very low trade-in value), so I wouldn't be surprised and would trade-in anyway.

I purchased my H3 Tactical last January on an employee discount.I paid $29,000 for it. Now anyone making a GM purchase can get the discount. Basically all they are doing is selling there vehicles at invoice. Minuteman you made the right decision to buy something used with low miles on it $21,400 is a much better deal. I have a little over 4500 miles on mine, and it is only worth $19,000 on a trade in. So much for buying a new vehicle. I will definitely never buy a new vehicle again. But we have to realize the economy, and our leaders underwear are all bunched up. NOW TO GET CARRIED AWAY, Nychots right GM is in dire straits, along with the other auto makers, banks, manufacturers, home builders, they have to offer this deal to try and sell or take care of what they have. If employee discounting doesn't work to sell cars they'll probably have to offer 0% interest and 30 year loans on vehicles 2% interest and 100 year loans on homes to make it affordable for consumers or lower there prices back to what they were in the late 70's and 80's. Most consumers cannot afford $300-$600 a month car payments and $400-$500 a month in fuel for there vehicles along with there mortgage and other living expenses. Young married couples will be less interested or start later in raising families because of the economy,or may chose not to have a family with the state of the economy now and for the future, how grim that could be for the USA. I can assure you most people are going to keep there vehicles longer by servicing and repairing them before they go out and buy a new vehicle. I believe that the USA is headed towards two classes of citizens the RICH and The POOR with no middle class citizens. The American Dream is Gone because of the (GREED OF CORPORATE AMERICA) LOOK WHAT HAPPENED TO MAYTAG, THE CEO GETS A 13 OR 14 MILLION DOLLAR SEVERANCE PACKAGE,THE EMPLOYEES OF MAYTAG LOSE THERE JOBS BECAUSE OF A BUY OUT BY WHIRLPOOL. Now the Maytag employees have to go looking for jobs with no severance pay and a family to feed and bills to pay. Paying CEO's and the top 5 administrative officers, vice presidents attorneys, etc. in the corporation millions of dollars a year to oversee a business. Thats WHY we HAVE INFLATION, Because these wheels in these companies have to be able to FLY in there 10 million dollar Corporate Jets to meetings,or there 5-10 million dollar homes in Grand Caymen Aspen, Miami,Phoenix or Hilton Head to play golf or go skiing, jump on there 150 foot 8 million dollar yachts with helicopters on them, expensive cars, shoes, clothing, you name it the list goes on just like there excessive salaries so they can do screw other fellow Americans of there American dream. But until we stop paying people enormous offensive salaries,to run a company, Inflation will never go away. CEO's along with there senior officers, attorneys, etc. of Corporations such as ( GM,Whirlpool,Ford,Daimler-Chrysler,Coca-Cola,PepsiCo, Nike,Nationwide Insurance,Wells Fargo,Hy-Vee Food Stores,Professional Athletes, etc.) It's not the companies employees who make $7.00 hour to $30.00 an hour who attribute so much to inflation it's the people at the top who do. No person who runs a company, bank etc is worth 5-10 million a year with stock options that make there package worth anywhere from 7-15 million a year along with additional millions going into there pensions then the next person in command gets 2 million a year with 1 million stock, down to the director of human resources who makes a lovely cool $300,000 a year and a cool bonus of $100,000 a year to direct there human resource team who make $45,000, to a factory worker making $30,000 a year,to someone making minimum salary of $15,000 a year working in the service industry field, America talks about the sweat shops of poorer countries that makes a lot of are clothing shoes etc. but the CEO's of these companies benefit greatly from that also. I realize it takes a tremendous amount of responsiblity to run a company, but no person is deemed worthy of these enormous excessive salaries. AS I SAID EARLIER I THINK THE COMPANIES AND THE GOVERNMENT WANT TO SEE TWO CLASSES OF CITIZENS,THE RICH AND THE POOR. IF IT DOESN'T CHANGE SOON. THERE WILL BE MORE CRIME,TAXES WILL GO UP TO BUILD MORE JAILS AND PRISONS WHICH MEANS MORE EMPLOYED GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES WITH BENEFITS AND FEWER EMPLOYEES IN THE MANUFACTURING AND SERVICE INDUSTRY, MORE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS,SMALLER FAMILIES,FEWER EMPLOYEES,WHICH WILL MAKE US MORE RELIANT ON OTHER COUNTRIES FOR THERE GOODS SUCH AS WHERE WE'RE AT NOW WITH OIL IT'S ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE. IF CORPORATE AMERICA AND THE GOVERMENT DON'T GET A GRIP ON IT, IT'LL EVENTUALLY COME BACK ON THEM,AS IT IS NOW. IT'S ALL ABOUT BALANCE. BALANCE IS WHAT WE NEED NOW,AND WHAT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED IN THE LAST 15 YEARS, AND THEY HAVE YET TO FIGURE IT OUT. A GREAT BIG THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE MADE THIS POSSIBLE. ( I HOPE YOU SLEEP WELL AT NIGHT ) IT'S A TRICKLE DOWN EFFECT ON US ALL EXCEPT THE RICH GREEDY PEOPLE.
