Well obviously I am NOT the only one! Nice responses......and by the way...it happened again TONIGHT on my way home, the infamous no yield (kinda standard in Texas)....but this time I did not give in to the small toyota corrolla or whatever it was. We got close, but no contact....but his side of the lane got a lot smaller a lot quicker than mine did!

I still think their may be something to this Cloaking Device idea.....activated when you hit 20 mph? Standard Hummer gear leftover from some military experiment. Worth at least starting rumors!

Keep the stories coming!

Hell, it happens on my H1 and my wife's H3....my truck way more than hers. I guess it's the black color - blends in with the desert setting of light tan.

With my truck, a quick blast of my 100 Watt Able2Products Police Air Horn usually wakes the drivers out of their own personal cloaking stupidity.

I guess they think that they can beat out a 3.5 ton truck. Surprise!

well, maybe we could look at it this way, if these people actually thought that H2 drivers were the aggressive careless unconcerned-with-anybody-else bastids that they constantly whine about us being, they wouldn't dare cut off a truck to whom their vehicle is a silly little speed bump and a re-alignment.

by and large, the fact that in some parts of the country people target hummers by recklessly cutting them off probably means that hummer drivers are pretty mellow.

it is pretty easy to be mellow in that monster, its a nice place to be. so mellow, that i usually forget to notice peoples reactions to the truck these days.

It amazes me how many people pull out in front of an H2.

The funny thing is I have never had a truck pull out in front of me...

S. and I drive the same route every morning. The difference in other drivers reactions to his truck vs. the H2 are amazing. IS MY FLASHING RED BLINKER LIGHT INVISIBLE? What about the idiots who try to look around you, convinced you are going slow in the fast lane on purpose, not because there is a line of cars in front of you. I've just decided all other non-H2 drivers are just A$$holes!

Insurance is great. A couple of years ago I had this heffer cut me off on the interstate and then she locked it up for no reason. Well, I couldn't stop and plowed the back end of her car. So, when the cop's showed up she's tryin' to play like she's hurt and then she finds out that her insurance is expired. I was thinking to myself that's what ya get. Anyway the cop's let me off and the wreck didn't even hurt my truck and it propably totaled her car. Gota love big trucks

The guy knew he was being pushed and told the cops that I did it on purpose and he didn't see me.

The cop looked at him and said "you didn't see THAT???"

Totalled his car and I had to replace a front bumper and paint a flare. Nothing else.

Just wait until some idiot fuks with me in the H2. I'll drive him until I run out of gas.

Stupid fukkers.

I think this was my favorite so far! Especially since it is from ORANGECRUSH!!

But....I have been rear ended twice while at complete stops. The first time, an elderly lady in her Mercury Cougar accelerated into me, and put my spare tire up in her windshield. Totaled her car, mine needed about $100.00 worth of black paint for the rear bumper and a new spare tire cover.

The last one a teenage girl hit me about 30 mph in her Nissan somethingorother.....again, completely totoled her ride. Same repair for me plus a new camara for the hitch!

Got to love the bulk of the H2 when it keeps saving your ass!

I brought my H2 to Saudi Arabia where I work. Some problems, but overall, it has been a blessing. Yes, problems at home owning an H2, but in Saudi, they simply get out of the way. Some of the worst driving such as tail-gating close enough to squeeze a piece of paper between bumpers, passing 80, 90 and even 100 mph on the inside shoulder, and some of the most horrific wrecks I have ever seen, but since I brought my H2 over here, I have actually enjoyed a reduction in terrorizing experiences. Suckers drive up and tailgate me and soon realize I simply cannot see them. Folks get out of my way as the H2 is an intimidating vehicle and besides, the headlights are high enough they shin directly in back window of the car ahead.

Yes, there are idiots abound, but I truly feel so much safer being the heaviest vehicle on the road, sitting high up to see well in front of me, and the power to get off the road regardless of nearly any condition. Gas guzzler ? yes, but at 60 cents per gallon no one cares.

The answer is to attend the police academy, get sworn in as an officer and then pull them over after they cut you off. Boy do they apologize quickly.

It's happened to me also. But I thought it was an accident or they didn't see me. But now this makes me mad.

Although in Ohio we have to be in a marked car so getting them in the Hummer is off limits. I just write down plates for if I pass them later. HAHAHA

i've been driving my h2 for over a year now in Belgium, Europe and didn't have any negative comment so far. People love it and stare at it and no ones even dares to think about cuttin' it off in traffic. It's freakin' huge over here.

I posted a similar thread starter a few months back.

You can buy a tiny digital camcorder now that records the last 30 minutes in loop fashion, it's to the point I'd like to have one running in the truck to show fault when another driver does something stupid.

I'm with the earlier poster however- stay mellow and enjoy the ride.
