Default fuel tank selector

my selector valve has stb(...the bed) to replace it will cost me $400. is there any alternative? it ain't easy being cheap

There is a cross reference match to a Ford 6c3z-9189a fuel valve which you can probably pick up for less than a couple hundred. Not difficult to install.

Are you sure it isn't the fuel switch?

I took your advice to check out the switch in the cab. I took it out, and was going to get it checked out. I didn't want to lose or misplace it, so I replaced it. It seems to be working. It gave me two different readings and seems to be using the main tank like I wanted. Tank is full. Thats about $150 worth of fuel I don't have to buy. Thank you so much for your smarts.
