tire deflators

Looking for tire inflators/deflators or the quickest way to get this done without being a major PIA. DO you guys take a huge compressor with you, what types of deflators do you use and how long does it take? I have 37.5 toyos which I deflate to 20 psi when going in the sand and need to inflate to 50 psi when back on the streets.

I wouldnt mind paying the $120+ for the auto inflator but wanted to see if any of you guys had experience with it or anything else?

I have the Staun Deflators.,they work well and had no problems in 5 years.

I had the Stuuns and now use the ARB Tire Deflator. IMO it's by far the best I've used!

I also have stauns but after seeing NJ H2's ARB deflator I went out and bought one and love it. The stauns just sit in the truck now. The ARB was only like $35 and is worth every penny.

It would seem the Stuuns seem much easier to use. In the video it took him a minute to deflate the tire 13 psi. That would take 4 minutes for all tires , plus the PIA of kneeling in the mud or dirt while doing it. I have 37" Toyos, which I deflate from 50 psi to 20 psi , I am assuming with the device it would take 2 minutes per tire. With the Stunns you can walk around, screw them on and walk away and it should be done in 5 minutes for all 4?

You are missing that the ARB or Currie units allow for dynamic accurate deflation and measurements to any air pressure where the stauns are pre-set. Granted 20 psi is a good all-around setting, every type of terrain and tire combination has an optimal psi that works best. You just don't get that level of adjustability with the Stauns - period.

With the ARB, I can head out on the trail and if I need to tackle something radical, I take out my ARB and adjust from 20psi down to 6-8psi. I run beadlocks, so all psi settings are an option.

Also, after airing down with the ARB usnit, I know exactly what psi I am at. With the Stauns, I am always second guessing if they got bumped and out of adjustment or someone I let use them took them off incorrectly and inadvertantly changed their settings.

The ARB/Currie unit just makes the most sense to me
