They also fit with the GM mud flaps, and help keep dirt/mud off the sides.

I love them. They work great so far. I haven't been off road too much since they were put on. But as far as functionality goes, my kids love them, I love them, and my clients love them.

But don't those just bolt onto the GM rails?

The challenge is getting a set that will actually match up to the mounting holes on the H3 and getting the correct bolts. Mine weren't even close, so I returned them and got my money back. I am going with the GM ones or I may have a set custom made by a local shop by me.

I ordered mine in January and had no problems with the alignment of the mounting holes or the bolts. They went on very easily, so maybe their QA has improved.
