Did anyone notice if their steering wheel is aligned square with the truck when moving in a straight line. Mine is tilted at 10 o'clock when driving straight....

No road is flat, they all have to have a crown to allow for water flow to the sides(except here in MI where the potholes hold the water).
However, if it is off that much, I would have the dealer give you an alignment.

When it was picked up after the Hummer Tech re-aligned it to the spec, it was perfect. If the Tech does the job correctly on yours, the alignment fix will center the steering wheel.

hello

I have the same situation, The same day I bought the hummer I was driving back to my home town, I notice the alignment problem right away. I call the sales guy and asked him if I could fix it at out local GM dealer and he responded that yes but until the vehicle had over 500 miles in order for the warranty to kick in. Today when I finaly when over the 500 miles I went to the local GM dealer and they came up with the "I'm not a Hummer dealer sorry..." you will have to take in back to San Antonio or pay us for the services. I wanted to kick some ones a$$, but after some calls the local GM dealer agree to grant the warranty.

Warranty starts the minute the car arrives at the dealer, it does not even have to be sold. I would call the manager and tell him to straighten out the salesperson...basically kick 'em in the arse as they are shown the door.

Yes, the warranty does kick in as soon as the vehicle arrives at the dealer, however, the salesperson was correct. GM will not pay for a warranty alignment issue until the vehicle has at least 500 miles because they want it to be broke in. I don't think that is an unreasonable request. i'm sure they could do it sooner if it was a serious issue like a very hard pull, or the steering wheel 90 degrees off, but other than that we do have to wait until 500 miles

Thanks for the support, I was to take the vehicle for its alignment today, but yesteday while my wife was driving home from work the front driver side window exploded! My wife is ok, it looks like a rock just hit it out of nowhere. Now I have at the shop getting a new window and the aligment will have to wait.

If during the pre-delivery inspection drive, the technician notices the vehicle is out of alignment, the dealer is supposed to align for delivery. Needless to say, this is under 500 miles. (Read the GM Policies and Procedures manual for new vehicle delivery.)
So, you are telling me that at the dealer you work at, if a car is out of alignment upon delivery, you tell the customer to drive for 500 miles to see if it breaks in the alignment? Give me a break.
If a vehicle is out of alignment upon delivery and the dealer tries to tell me to drive it 500 miles before he will align it, I will give him the keys back and walk away.
WINS pays claims all the time for alignments on vehicles with LESS than 500 miles.

You are right, they must have dont it prior to the delivery of the vehicle. I just sent the sales guy an email ( a nasty one) asking him why wasnt this done.. I would have save my self some time having to go to the dealership again and again.
