Has anyone replaced or swapped the mirrors? Do I have to take off the door panels? If so is that a bitch? I don't consider myself mechanically inclined. I can handle simple stuff but If I feel like I might **** something up I'll just have the dealer do it.

I have replaced the exterior door handle insert plates that hold the door handle /lever. It’s a real bear to tackle so take your time.

1) Have to remove door panel
2) unplug all electrical housings on door switches
3) Remove black plastic panel (use an exacto knife to slice down the center of the rubber silicon, rather than pulling on the plastic liner to separate from door)
3) loosen window track glass clamps
4) bring window glass downward, loosen window track(s)
5) remove window track and rest at lower level of door
6) rotate glass to its side, and rest at the lower level of the door (allows access to mirror bolts and nuts)

It real critical, that you lower the glass prior to loosening window tracks or else the glass will fall. Allow at least 1 hour per door.
