Hey guys, I'm looking around for a new insurance company, progressives just too high. Granted I am young so I'm gonna be paying out the ass no matter what, but I need to find a better company to insure both my H2 and my Vette. Any suggestions??? Thanks!

Grim,

I am with Progressive now. I had Mutual Benefit with the Ford Excursion I traded for the H2. A couple of days after I bought the H2 my agent called me and said that Mutual WOULD NOT insure the H2. I was PI$$ED. They insured my excursion and my 02 Twin Turbo Porsche, but NO H2. Progressive had a great rate. I have all my motorcycles with them, my H2 and my 03 Viper SRT/10. Progressive could not come close to the rate I have on my Porsche with Mutual.

I think insurance is just a evil necessity.

Good Luck,
ROB

I don't know what state you're in, but over the years I've switched around between Electric Insurance and Liberty Mutual. Best rates always, at least for me.

I just dropped State Farm and went with Geico. State Farm was over $1000 more a year and Progressive was $500 more a year than Geico. Check pricing on the internet before you call insurance agents.

I had Meridian Mutual. They also said that they would not insure a Hummer. I called another agent and got better insurance for less cost. The company is Erie Insurance. I checked Geico, Electric and Liberty. Erie was as competitive with more coverage. As Diane wrote - Shop Around.

I'm with AAA, and they're great for me. Good driving record, and not a kid anymore, so that helps. The multi-car, and home policy all add up to discounts too...

Good luck!

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! Great to see people actually helping me out instead of insulting me for being young and driving what I drive. Thanks again everyone!

Yeah, I know I'm gonna be payin a boatload no matter what, until I get married or till I turn 25 or so....

I was serious about the insults too, I'm a member of the Corvette Forum as well, and I posted the same post, and a bunch of them just gave me **** for being young and fortunate. It's as if these people take it personal that I was givin the life that I have, and they didn't, its really pathetic....oh well, thats life!

I'm with Allstate for all my stuff, not a problem. I think the premium is $760 a year.

Progessive has our fleet insurance, State Farm my personal vehicle insurance. Progressive has given us the best rates on commercial fleet up until last year. We haven't shopped insurance in the last four years, but will this year.

You've got my 2 favorite vehicles. Wonder why.

Have you joined the Zo6Vette.com Forum?
