I was considering buying this filter and stainless tube set up. I spoke with K&N and they have nothing in the pipe for at least 90 days.

Does anyone have this? Was it easy to install? Did it make any difference whatsoever?

I have had it for about 3 weeks now. It is easy to install and works great. Gas milage so far is about a 1-1.5 mpg better depending if I want to hear the throaty sound. I bought it at the Rev Shop

No it bolted on directly just as the instructions said. Throttle response is better but I want a programmer to go with it. The filter is larger than any I have seen. The end has an inverted cone for more surface area. While I had it apart I bypassed the coolant line in the throttle body. This way the throttle body is cooler thus air stays cooler. It is simply a 1/4 inche Dia. coulper that each hose slide over and applied hose clamps. The Rev Shop also has free ground service for shipping.

ONE QUESTION WHY IS THE COOLANT LINE IN THE THROTTLE BODY IN THE FIRST PLACE VERSES NOT. I SEE THE POSITIVE YOU SPEAK OF,SO WHY IS IT NOT THAT WAY IN THE BEGINING

The coolant flow is there to keep your throttle body from freezing up in cold, damp weather.

Personally, I don't think it is worth the trouble. A throttle body that freezes up can cause all sorts of problems.

It is for freezing potential as well as better emission ratings. I have always used 160 degree thermostats in my street rods. The newer engines run a 190 degree t-stat. The hotter the engine is the more emissions it burns off. There fore I have a 160 t-stat and coolant bypass. I live in the Houston area winter here is about 28 degrees over a 3 hour period for 1 night.

I would just caution you that the outside temperature does not have to be below freezing for a throttle body to freeze up. Keep in mind you are dealing with low pressure on the intake. Cool, moist air is all it needs to freeze up.
