Default Silverstar Question

For those of you who upgrade to silverstar bulbs has anyone had one burn out? If so how long did you have them before the burn out? Or if you have them without any problems, how long have they been in? Are you all still happy with them?

5 minutes to install... good up grade, not willing to call them a great up grade but well worth the $$$

I have them in my H3 and no problem yet about 4 months now, but the wife has them in the trailblazer and they burn out about 6 months later. Same with dads silverado he actually went back to the stock bulbs. I like they light they throw but I am about to go back to the stock bulbs too if this keeps up.

Has anyone found a brighter back light replacement?

I looked at the Slyvania site and they show 3157LL - I don't think it's any different from the stock ones.

Thanks for all the input. I think I'm going to give them a shot. If they burn out maybe the Ultras will be out by then.

I was also looking at some HID kits on ebay, some kits are as low as 129 bucks. I never got any good feed back from anyone so I think I'll pass. Its probably a "you get what you pay for" type of thing.

I had one Silverstar go out in less than a year. Ultras are out and that's what I upgraded to a few weeks ago - from Autozone

H13 for headlamps. Simple reach behind headlamp assembly, turn connector with bulb attached and pull out.

As for Ultras. I received an email from Sylvania that they will not have Ultras in H13 till late summer. I was in Advance last week and they only had Silverstars no Ultras.

No, they are not the same, and they are, in my opinion, no better than stock. I did try them while waiting for Silverstars to appear on the market.
