Default Sylvania Silverstars

Sylvania H13ST Silverstars are now available for use in the H3. I received an email from Sylvania yesterday, stating they have been shipped to Advanced Auto, Auto Zone and O?Reilly?s. I could not find them on any of their websites, however, today I walked into an Auto Zone and purchased the two they received for stock on Monday.

Cool, I had silverstars on a different car before. They were definately an improvement over the stock ones. I'd get some people flashing me that my brights were on, when they weren't. As far as I recall they were more white'ish. I'm going to have to pick up a set.

A few years ago I switched to these on my other cars. The first car and first night (and there after), I had drivers flashing me because they though my high beams were on. Not good for them...but good when you get old and your eye sight begins to go

You are. But to make up for my really white lights, maybe you should get black ones? That way no race will feel left out. I have a black truck, with white lights. You have a yellow truck, with black lights. If you get red lights instead, I think we can have every race represented after going through some mud.

Not installed, yet. I picked up at lunch, and will install tomorrow AM. I had them on the Vette, and their sealed beam replacement for the Jeep. I found them to be a lot "whiter," and very little blue, if any at all. They certainly did light up the night better than stock bulbs. I never had anyone flash the lights when driving the Jeep (Vette was too low).
Not sure how they will affect the H3, since the H3 does sit higher than most vehicles coming the other way. Also not sure how much brighter they will appear to be, since in my opinion, the stock H3 bulbs seem pretty white.
I'll know in a couple of days.

In addition, in the fall of 2007, Sylvania will also be releasing the silver stars in their new Ultra line. But until next year, we will have to settle for the standard Silverstars.

Love the silverstars. Just wish they lasted longer ... they always seem to burn out in about a year.

I've got them in my pick up, I've also got all six lights on w/ the high beams, I love it when they bright lite ME.

It sure lites up the interior of their vehicle.

Must have had a bad set. I have them in the Vette (over three years), and the Jeep for two years, and never burned out a set. A friend of mine has had them for over four years in his P/U truck and still never replaced a bulb.

Maybe it was the Blazer then. I had two sets of 9005s and 9006s and each one lasted about a year. They did a recall on the DRLs at one point and rewired the low beams. High beams did last a little longer, come to think.

Picked up the H13STs and 9145STs today, just installed them. Tried to get a picture in the dark of a closed garage, so it's tight but should give an idea. Might get some more pics tonight, but they are a definate improvement, I like.

The driver side is the silverstars, they came out blue in the pictures but they are pure white and the stocks are more yellow.
