Acouple of times when I first the engine the three lights on the knobs flashed for a while then went out. sometimes the light on the first one flashes after I push the knob. What does this mean?

That happened to me when I took apart my center console to install my off-road light switches. After hooking up all the connection back and start the vehicle. All the climate control lights started to flash like they were re-setting themselves. I haven't had any problem ever since. Did you ever took you center console apart? if you did, make sure to check all the connection are properly attached. Maybe one of them is loose.

I found some info on page 3-21 of the manual.
Yes, all three flashed when I puled the fuse box apart.

Check your owners manual. I think if you have the center button on "recycle" air and try other settings it will cause lights to flash meaning you cant do that setting with the recycle air on.

Mike is correct the recycle button only works if you have the switch in one of 2 vent postions.

I think I figured it out. I have a bad knob switch on the center knob. Because whenever I touch it slightly the light on the left knob flickers.
