I heard on the radio yesterday that Howard St in downtown SF was closed so they could move a large portion of the hull atop the metreon building.
I hate going to SF but I will for this. I'll drive the Tahoe though.
Try to copy and paste an article with little luck - working on it.
Appearing for the first time in San Francisco, this Blockbuster Exhibition, already seen by more than sixteen million visitors, will present a vast collection of more than 300 artifacts dramatically rescued from the ocean floor, along with stunning room re-creations including the Grand Staircase, as well as the largest piece of the Titanic ever recovered, a 15-ton portion of Titanic's hull.
"We are very pleased to debut Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at the Metreon in San Francisco," stated Arnie Geller, President and CEO of Premier Exhibitions, Inc. "Visitors from around the world have been fascinated by its story and the extraordinary diving expeditions to the Ship to observe the carefully recovered artifacts from their resting place. We have wanted to visit San Francisco for many years and we look forward to presenting this outstanding Exhibition to the community." RMS Titanic, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Premier Exhibitions, Inc. is the only company permitted by law to recover objects from the wreck of the Titanic. The Company was granted Salvor-in-possession rights to the wreck of the Titanic by a United States federal court in 1994 and has conducted seven research and recovery expeditions to the Titanic's debris field and recovered approximately 5,500 artifacts.
BTW, you can get your tickets online through ticketmaster and just print them out. (Cost $20-$25 ea) I'm just visioning a 2 mile long ticket line like when DeYoung museum reopened.
