BS. Who besides them has the trade skills for construction? We let it get this bad and turned the other cheek while we forgot how to build. Basically we tought these people the trades and didn't pass the skills on to ourselves. We need their skill in construction wheter you or I like it or not.

Giving me the label of pro Illegal is BS. I know what is out there right now and comment on the facts. If whites or blacks, whoever were still tradesmen, the demand wouldn't have been there for them to come. As our soicety educates ourselves, we dont want to do the grunt work our forefathers did. Its the same situation when the Itallians, Irish, etc came to Ellis Isle. What work did they do? The crap work that the Americans didnt want to do. They were thought of as second class citizens and now have assimilated. Same thing will happen with the Mexicans whether you or I like it or not. Supply and demand like I said earlier no pro illeal garbage. If you want to buy a house, but you want it built by americans, you better add at least 50% to the labor price tag, and it wont appraise for a cent more than one built by illegals. Oh, its solely the businessman's fault, BS the cosumer demand, lack of skilled labor, lack of govenrment intervention early on and the businessmans quest to bring down cost is what created this issue. Pointing fingers is what everyone likes to do. I'll take my share of the blame, will you? Or did you have absolutley nothing to do with it? If your dishes are washed, house built, food cooked, repairs done, hummer washed, etc, all by americans, then you are not to blame, but if you have had illegals do work for you, your just as guilty as the rest.

I would like to know the total number of cases of TB that will give a better picture of how small a threat it is. While it is a concern, TB pales in comparison to border security issues and tax dollars we spend on illegals.

We need to document them, slow their influx, and get them paying taxes.

This is my opinion and not intended to offend or start any name calling. I am all for hearing all sides of an argument and am not so thick skulled to where I won't change my mind on a given topic, but this one will be tough to convince me otherwise.

Its one thing to come here, be documented, and pay the necessary taxes on any wages you earn. But so many come here with extended families. The children need a place to go to school. And these same businessmen donate to politicians to push their agenda to keep illegals flowing in this country. To hell with the taxpayers, we’re getting rich!

I’d like to see a mandatory 1 year jail sentence for anyone hiring an illegal alien. That would kill the illegal labor demand and would work much better than any wall would.

H-Town.........you really need to realize what is going on. I dont care where you look at statistics. They ALL say the same thing. True this country was built on immigrants. Notice i did not say ILLEGAL. But this was when the country was just starting. No longer is this the case and ILLEGAL immigrants are called this because they are just that. Here in this country illegally. Generally when one does something illegal they are prosecuted. No where in the constitution does it state "come to america and use and abuse all its resources but dont worry. its all free. your fellow <span class="ev_code_RED">LEGAL/DOCUMENTED/TAX PAYING </span> american citizens will carry the burden of supporting you and your family". Like I said we let it happen. If we would have given tough sentences to those who hired them early on, it wouldnt have spiraled out of control and turned itno the catch 22 we have now.

There are not enough legal skilled tradesman anymore. I agree that greedy business men had a hand in causing this, but that was 15 years ago and no one did a damn thing until now, 12 million people later. I would say the clinton Adminstatation or maybee the 1st Bush later years could have taken the initiative....mostly clinton as the problem really got out of hand during his administration.
