Default Weld On vs Slip On Muffler Question

I just have a simple question or two.
What way can you tel if a muffler is a weld on vs a slip on?
And is there a way to make a weld on muffler a slip on?

Any muffler if is the right dimension will slip on, depends if you clamp it or weld it into place

Thanks.
Looking to get rid of the stock muffler because it is a rattle can it sounds like right now, and wanted to be able to put on a muffler myself that doesnt "bolt" into the old exhaust system, so since I cant weld... I would need a slip on.

Humtech, If I gut the cats when I do my muffler swap, I should get a light right? So is there a way to make the computer and everything not thing the cat was removed. I thought I remember there was a plug or a resistor or something you put in place of the back O2 sensor....
Just not sure if they work on the H2

There are O2 sims you can buy I know that. The GTO guys used them all the time with long tubes and when going catless.

Yes ses light will be on if you don't put sims in place of rear sensors. This will make your truck run in open loop operation all the time meaning that it will run off a base fuel air mixture and the ecm will not control adjustments. This will affect performance and fuel mileage. Will run better with cats in place if you don't find sims for rear
