has anyone mounted off road light by drilling?

The light tabs that everyone is recommending dont work as well as i had hoped due to the arc in the stock brush guard. i cant quite get the light pattern i would like. thinking about drilling, but hate the idea of drilling on my 3.

Did you try calling your local off road shop for some different tabs? Also if your tabs are like mine you can turn them upside down. Might get the room you need. I have a Aries guard and had plenty of room. I went with smaller K-C lites that dont take much room though.
