Default which years h1 are known for cracking cylinder cases

hey guys
what years if any, are more prone to cracked blocks?
ive seen several instances where engines have been replaced due to cracked blocks.
i understand it may be a maintenance issue, but ill be buying used, so if certain years are more prone to this, please let me know....
thanks

The problem was from 96 99. Mostly 97.5's and 98's had cracked blocks.

any 6.5 TD upto year 2000. and even then I've heard a few 2000's have had problems.
none of the non TD's have had problems as for as i know as the dont get the heat buildup that the TD's have. and the rear engine cooling mod does not prevent this problem, if it did I wouldn't have lost 2 engines to the #8 cracking.
