I plan to get a 4" lift and 35's... after installing the TC, I don't think the I5 would be able to handle bigger tires as it is now.

lift it and you will find out way too quick how underpowered your rig will be. Lifting them changes eveything. Looks good but ar you ready for a worse ride, warrenty issuses if the drivetrain (new) can't cope with the way your driving it, safety. I lifted 2 H2's and had them both come back with tons of problems after about 10k. people were driving them everyday and it was not pretty. Keep it stock and throw some big tires on, unless it is pure toy and your just don't care. if that is the case go Skyjacker 6 inch lift with nitto grapplers.

IMO after driving the H3, and looking close at the tires, there should be no problem fitting 35s and you may get a little rubbing with 37's, but I thik it would be very drivable!
A S/C would be the answer to the underpower problem, and programming should aleviate(sp) the speedo issue!

Just my 2cents!

I agree with PhilD, I wouldn't lift it if I didn't have to worry about that area in the front.. the rear has more than enough space, but I'm not sure about the front at all.. if there was a 2" lift for the front I'd get it (I don't want to use the torsion bars to lift it).

35's will not fit stock. Picjked ours up yesterday and that pic that Phil took is on the money. You won't get to full lock and if you do take it off road you are going to stuff for sure. I (I meant she) has the 285's on there. I think the 305's will fit with slight rubbing. After we get the UC protection and rock rails built and installed, we'll tak ethat thing out and flex it all the way to see hom much room for the bigger meats.... unless someone else can do this now.

XM Dude is right--by SEMA in November, there will all kinds of goodies for the H3, including lift kits.

A kit giving the ability to use 35s would make the H3 look fantastic.

Since the H3 is a full body on frame design, you could actually fit a larger diameter tire with a slight body lift. Not sure the impact would be with the steering shaft, but most other manu's with body on frame and rack and pinion aftermarket has body lifts available.

305's should be just fine. H3s have an ugly rake look, but that's easily fixed for free!! Just adjsut the torsion bars about 1.5" and it will look great; not to mention 305's will clear with no problem (they are same diameter as the stock 33's but a bit wider)
You will need an alignment after this though, so make sure do it right after, otherwise your tires will be shot.
