No problems here , My rig is the best thing I have. I had a crossfire roadster but I had a drop of snow on the road one day and I freak out so Sold it.
I went to get the H3 and the winter left me. I guess winter freak out too when it got the word of my new H3.
I have 4,000 miles in mine andnone of this problems have come up not even a recall on mine..

I've had mine for 6 months and about 7000 miles. I love it, what a great on and off-road rig! I've had a couple of small probs, passenger seat, and recall for washer pump and a prob w/ the wiring (passenger side door). It just so happens that I'm sitting here waiting for my H3 at Jerry Seiner Hummer in salt lake as I write this reply post and, that's only because of an allignment (I adjusted the front torrsion bars).
It really is'nt bad comming here for service, I get a free detail!
I LOVE MY H3!!

Lux/Adv package fully loaded. Approx 4500 miles, on and off road, not one squeek or problem...knock on particle board! Very solid build. Handles corners as if on rails. Absolutely love it. Rear cam is a must; as is mudflaps, steps, rear lamp brush guards, navigation, satellite radio, undercaiarrage protection...I think you get the point...

Damn Trees, always getting in the way.

I had a Mercedes ML, the H-3 is far more reliable and drives just as nice. I added a high output battery, replaced the rear windshield washer. 4 months no problems. Dealer even loans me another H-3 when it is in the shop.

Just under 3000 miles and according to the dealer, the electronic controller within the encoder motor has failed.
The encoder motor shifts the transfer case from high range to low.
The symptom was as you were driving it shifted into low on its own and could not manually be put back into high. It put itself back into high after the ignition was turned off while setting awhile.
