Default Where to find good price for BFGs?

I'm thinking about going from BFG MT 37x12.5x17s to 37x12.5x20s and was SURPRISED by the price difference in the two tires.

I can find the 17" version for under $400 but can't find the 20" for under $600...anywhere. Logic would indicate that LESS rubber is needed to make the 20" then the 17" so I find it odd that the 20" version is so much more expensive.

Does anyone have a good site for good prices on BFGs? If I can't get a good price I guess I'll stay with 17" rims.

Logic would tell you that.. but as the wheel size increases so does the price, dramatically. Have you checked with forum vendors like Tim @ EH? Tires are weird, seems like its all about who knows who or has vendor accounts with the right wholesalers.

Other than that, I would head to google and start looking over all the sites that pop up when you search.

Where do I find Tim's contact info on the site? If I can't get the 20s closer to $500 I'm just gonna stay with 17s. The price increase based on rim size is ridiculous!

Try Discount Tire they are www.discounttire.com. They have great prices and will match the price if you can find them elsewhere cheaper plus they ship right to your door.

Check Costco, I looked about a year and half ago and they had the best price on these at the time.

For what it's worth - I have the 08 factory 20" wheels on my H2T, and I had the BFG MT's on it for a while (in 20", and yes, even with my good friend and neighbor owning a tire store and giving me a HECK of a discount, they still were around $600/ea).

If you live anywhere where you get ice on the road, or need to drive in icy areas, you will NOT be happy with them. They are FANTASTIC in mud, rocks, offroad, but are terrible on a paved road with ice on them. Just about killed me a couple years back.

Went to BFG AT's after that.

Oh, and I'm looking for a set of FACTORY H2 wheels (17") because I want to use them to put MTs on. The issue with MTs is, if you need to air down, you have a lot more rubber between the obstacle and your wheel.

PS - I wanna find/buy five of them.
