Default Paint Discoloration

I know this issue has been discussed. I have searched, but have not seemed to locate it.

Issue: Mud that has been left on for a period of time has, for lack of a better discriptive word, stained or discolored the paint.

I have tried waxing/buffing it out, but it has only slightly improved. I know someone else has had this problem, but can't find it.

Any suggestions?

Unhappy Re: Paint Discoloration

I would take it to a good detail shop and see if they have something that will remove it. If they can't remove it then I would say take it to a body shop and have them take a look at it. I'm thinking you need a heavy rubbing compound since there was obviously something in that mud that etched the clear coat.

Default Re: Paint Discoloration

I had a problem on mine. I think it might of been cement.Iwas told that there is an agent in the finish of the fenders because they're plastic.I managed to get most of it off with lots of aplications of flitz. So far no adverse affects.
