Default Listen to cd with navigation?

is there any way to listen to a cd while using the navigation in a 07 h2? I heard the 08s have 2 slots, and was wondering if there is anyway i could listen to a cd while using the navigation in my 07.

I don't believe there is anyway to do that on an 07'. I just bought one with Nav...and thought the same thing

No, there is no way. That, i guess, is one major flaw of the earlier nav units.

yes, you can. You need to add in an escalade cd changer into the onstar space and move onstar to the glovebox. or skip the cd's and add in an IPod adapter.

Well, I was speaking in terms of making it work with no modifications.
Do you have to keep the on star unit?

no, you can ditch OnStar with this mod and still make it work.

I also say go with the ipod adapter...... I added one nearly 2 years ago and I dont think other than 1 time I have had to pull the Navi disc. Its also way more convenient to have all your music on one device so your not changing out discs either.

One of the members here did a writeup on it. Curretly I have an H3ALpha, got rid of the last H2. ....getting ready to build an SUT.

I have the IPOD adapter ready to go for this next one. CD's are great, but I leave those for home. They just get scratched up in and out of the truck and honestly, I always had teh NAV disk in. so XM was almost always on.

I bet you still use cassettes tapes too, I think I still have some 8 tracks use a IPOD or MP3 player sounds better anyway.

Ahh the old Craig Car Stereo that played 8 track tapes - or should I say ate those 8 track tapes. If you look on Ebay, it's amazing what some of those 8 tracks go for!
I have the '06 with nav and and use the Kenwood Ipod adapter and have been very happy with it.

I noticed the poor design of the nav system when I bought my H2 in '06. I had them remove the OEM unit and switched it with a Z1. Not only does it eliminate the nav CD issue, it automatically rips every music CD inserted. Play it once and it's in the 'library' forever.

I just bought a CPO '07 H2 and I have 2 slots: 1 for CD, one for Navi/DVD
I dunno, maybe it's an aftermarket unit? It's called Eclips (sp?), comes with a remote, the screen tilts and folds to open the slots behind it, much like I had on my Benz.

Yes you have an aftermarket head unit.... the factory units in the 2005-2007's were all the same with no way to play a CD while the Nav disc was in use. Eclipse is a good high end unit so I would say you lucked out.
