How cold? And do you mean go outside with a bucket and do it by hand or at an automatic wash?

Drive thru car wash if I am in a hurry.

If it's cold I will put warm water in a bucket and wear gloves and wash it myself.

How cold are you talking about?

attach the hose to the valve and put on warm water, that way you can wash all day long and you will be fine, no mattrer how cold, well probly above -10F. also warm water on cold truck seems to do better with getting the stuck things off (like bugs and mud). Although i dont know if that hurts the pain. Does anyone know if that could damage the paint in some way?

I know that one time last year, it was maybe in the 20's, I took my truck to a wash bay and started rinsing it off (with warm water mind you). Well, that experiment lasted about a minute because I soon realized I was coating the car with ice....

I dunno, I hate washing the car in the winter. It's more of a hit it with water, rinse the salt and sand off, and get going.

if it's 40 or above your OK. Use heavy rubber gloves though.

Or washing it inside your heated oversized garage really works well too...........

When it's cold I prefer to use Country Club Carwash in Santa Clara. Strictly a handwash operation.

Even when it's 50! LMFAO....Yeah, that'll really make your nipples stand up. Oh that's right, you're a Floridian. So if it were to get below 50, I guess you folks put your chains on.

I was born and raised in California. When I first moved, I lived in central Illinois. I thought it would be a great idea to wash my car in one of those do-it-yourself pressure wash bays. After my car was all shiny, I drove it home. When I tried to open the door to get out it was frozen solid. Just like all the other doors were. Yeah, I thought of the windows. Yup, they were frozen too. So here I was, firmly frozen in my car like a pteradactyl fossil. I figured I'd probably be there until the spring thaw so I humiliated myself and called my wife on the cell phone. She came out of the house with a pail of warm water and thawed the door so I could escape. I had to sit there helplessly, watching her laugh her ass off. So the moral to the story is, in addition to the comfort issue, make sure you have a warm place to park your vehicle after you wash it, or pack enough supplies in your car to keep you alive until spring. Here's a photo of me, honoring the occasion.

Best thing to do is hit up the touchless car wash often during the winter. Best bet is when it's above freezing. Then when you get a nice enough day, do a thorough hand wash.

You're funny 50 - cold

I have washed mine at the car wash when it was in the low 40's with the wind blowing, closed one of the car wash bay doors

It's -6, with a wind chill of -22 right now

Didn't wash it today

Its a nice day, 73 with a slight on shore wind off the ocean. Spent most the morning washing and cleaning the 3, Had to keep the hot coffee near to keep warm while sitting on the cold ground polishing the rims.

Nice neighbors I have, they all came over to see that I was actualy doing something, like cleaning it. But no one offered help.
