Default I NEED HELP!!!!!

Im new here, im a strong believer in these forums. Im a do-it-yourself kind of guy. i am on all ford powerstroke diesel forums and if it wasnt for them my truck wouldnt be on the road

ok well my dad calls and says when the a/c is turned on the hummer (h2) blows cold out of the passenger side and hot air out of the driver side. so i hit up my good friend google and find out that it is a temperature control actuator for a door to direct the a/c. well i took the driver side actuator out and the gears didnt looked stripped out. i plugged it back in and turned the ac on and off and watched the gear move.

the gear that connects to the door starts in the middle and when you turn the air on it moves clockwise, turn it off and it moves back to the middle. but never turns back counter-clockwise past center. is this thing for sure bad or is there something else. thanks for your guys help.

You sure your looking at the right actuator. Turning the ac on and off will not change the left temp door position, that actuator will only move when the left temp is changed. The left temp door actuator is on the bottom of the hvac case. With the auto hvac system you could also have a sensor problem. Turn the auto setting off and try it

Ya. I did more research last night. I think the one I need to check is under the dash somewhere. Anyone got directions to get to it. I'm trying to figure this out without taking it to the stealership. All these fancy gadgets to run the ac
Thanks for your help

Well apparently the pics wont work. Its just to the right of the body tunnel on the bottom of the hvac case assembly. Remove the plastic panel and you will see it
