Hey guys, check with Stuart at OEM DASH. He's good at finding these.

I'm so excited. I just went to my dealer and ordered the parts for this mod. They said that they should be in on Wednesday, so next weekend...

It's the little things...

Do i need a pair or will just one harness take care of both lights ?

No such GM part # upon search. I used 2 3-wire pigtails from GM, but you could just as easily use 2 generic 3157 socket/pigtail set-ups. Installation article pdf available via e-mail. Too large to post here.

Hmm, that seems strange since the part had that # on it, my dealer is the one who gave it to me and I did a search and over half of the places I visited had that part. Seems strange. Gm-Auto-Parts.com for $112.00 is one place.

I just tried that site and you are quite right. They DO list that harness. I have not found it at any of the other sites I checked. Have you found any places which list a drawing or photo of the part?

No, I haven't seen any with the pictures so I'm hoping that it's the right one for you guys. I've checked twice and thats the part # on the harness I've got.

I have a detailed pdf on how to perform this installation. It's too large to post here. If interested, PM me with your e-mail address and I will send it to you.

My dealer got in that harness # for me, but the ends of the harness have a strange looking weather lock connector on the end, it doesn't just plug into a bulb, any ideas?'

The harness I got had that big end on it with the 2 light socket wires tailing of of it. That big connector end plugs into the trailor socket under the inside of the rear bumper. Actually you unplug the factory harness from the trailor plug (up under the rear bumber) and plug the new wiring harnes into the plug on the bumper then plug the factory harness back into the new harness. All in all it's basically an inline coupling. It's tougher to explain it than it really is.

Man, Thank you for the part number but I just need the part number for the bumper parts and the lights...
Then again I can just order the parts from my dealer on the bumper caps and the lights... What year did these come in ???

did you order the harness or hard wire the harness in ??? I dont want to hard wire anything because it'll void my extended warranty ...

I understand the big harness just goes inline with the outside plug to give you the needed wires. The two harnesses that go outwards to the bumper lights do not look correct. There is not a way to plug a bulb in them?? It is a weather lock clip like terminal on the ends. Am I missing something? I do not have the lights yet, as I wanted to check out the harness first. Thanks in advance.

Jimmy

I have an extended warranty too, but I hardwired mine into the factory harness. I got the lamp sockets with the triple pigtails from the dealer. But Marius did the same set-up as me and got some after-market sockets and tails. It's just a generic pair of 3157 sockets. Of course Marius found it easier to pull the entire bumper to do the installation. Not for me, too manly!
