They didn't even give me a damn keychain when I bought it either. I keep hearing how lots of dealerships are taking care of their customers.....not mine! My dealership hasn't even had any Hummer happenings or anything and I've had my H3 for almost 6 months. Ridiculous

Welcome to my world
f5fstop-
My chrysler was always taken in by my local Dodge dearlship for warranty work. It seems it is really up to the dealership. My Mercury was also taken in by a ford dealer for warranty work when I had that. I never heard a peep out of them about doing the work, so when I couldn't get a blub changed at a chevy dealer it seemed wierd to me. And Dani's Hummer's dealers directs them to Chey?? It's WACKED! There's no contiunity to the policies. Either they do or they don't. Not this hit or miss with every individual dealer, at least on warranty issues.

Re: H3 needed new engine ALREADY?
Dodge dealer refused service on my 2003 jeep. Neighbor had a Toyota that would not start in a shopping center a block away from a Lexus dealer, they refused him service, so the vehicle had to be towed across town.
Twenty years ago, I did have a Mercury Dealer in MI, service the Ford I was driving which helped me out a lot. However, I sometimes wonder if it was the fact it was a Government vehicle.
One of the best was I purchased a Ford from a friend across town; however, when I required warranty service, I took it locally. The dealer originally was not going to repair it, telling me to take it to where I purchased the vehicle. I called Ford, they did intervene, but the dealer was not happy.
Yes, it is dependent upon the dealer, but it is not written anywhere that they have to service another type of vehicle, and in some cases, they can't. The H3 is more unique than a GMC versus a Chevy, or a Grand Prix versus a Monte Carlo.
I guess the major point I was trying to make is it is not just GM, it is primarily any large multi manufacturing company, not just auto. Take a Troy Built snowblower to a Cub Cadet dealer and ask for warranty service; you won't get it, even though they are both owned by MTD, both have the same Briggs engine. The main reason, I believe, is you didn't purchase what they sell.
