Hey Everyone! I was wondering what the average MPG that the new H2's are getting in the city and on the highway. I have looked around at a couple of sites but luck has not been on my side and I haven't been able to find the info. Thanks for your input!

Varies between 11 and 14 with my current driving habits. Average around 12.6 mpg. That's with about 40% in-town and 60% freeway.

A buddy of mine has a Suburban that does no better.

Arizona Hummerboy -
Does towing that quad trailer yield that better than average MPG?

Your mpg will be tragic at first. Mine started at 7mpg....but got much better as the engine broke-in. The first 1,000 miles are NOT your standard to-be-expected mpg!

Also, they run the engine at the factory for intial break-in; all this is recorded on your computer and will greatly skew your figures. Make sure to clear your avg. mpg to get a more accurate picture.

When I fill up the range states that I have something like 350 miles per tankfull.

Yeah...right!!!

But that's about right for our terrain...but speeds and in town kill my gas mileage, although today I rolled into 4K miles on my H2 and I noticed that I was getting 13 around town vs. the usual 12.3...so just maybe mine is breaking in a little..

Hey speaking of gas mileage where's Hummerbot been?

Here's another gaseous tip: your display will read "low milage" and start giving you warnings.....so you head to the gas station figuring your almost on vapors...and when you get there you find your 32-gallon tank only requires about 25 gallons to top-off.

Word: they apparently like to give you a 7 gallon reserve.

On the H2ml we all got together and decided that we, ,as a group, would insist that our H2's get about 19 mpg. Funny thing...cause that's what I get! Check your mileage....I'm certain you may find similar!
