Go to the Homelink website. They have great support (FAQ's, walkthru's) that are very helpful. Remember, before you program Homelink in the H2, you HAVE TO clear out the factory codes first. Also, if your garge door opener utilizes "rollover" codes, they are a few extra steps in order to get the system to work properly.
Good luck,
Matt

I have the Genie Intellicode garage door opener and it has the rolling code feature. I had to follow ALL of the programming steps, including the additional ones for rolling code systems. It worked fine, but you have to follow the instructions word for word.

In addition, I had to be parked right under the door opener to get it to work.

You have to first program the HomeLink with the Genie remote. Then you have to follow the Genie instructions for training the Genie to accept a new remote (the HomeLink).

It took a little tinkering, but it works great.

I programed my Home Links yesterday(one for a Genie Intellicode and the other for a Chamberlin Security Plus) and like everyone else had to play around alittle bit to get things right. One thing that did happen though was that after HomeLink started operating the doors both openers would no longer read the rolling code from the old transmiters. But I didn't know that at the time.

I park my H2 in a detached garage and use the push button on the wall to close the overhead door as I exit the building. I keep a extra transmitter at house that I use to open the door with all the time. The only problem the H2s on the inside and I am on the outside with a old transmitter that no longer works!

I do have another way in, but its through a door I never use and it blocked with junk inside the doorway. I had to climb over everything to get the overhead door open again.

I had to let each opener relearn the code from the old transmitters and after that everthing worked ok.

Moral of the story: check the old transmitter before you think you have everything programed properly.

Don

Agreed with above, not easy but just follow it step by step, if failed, do it again, I have Genie Intellicode. My old remotes all still work just fine. I did check Homelink website for soemthing, but cannot remember what it was, I would rather forget the whole experience.

okay...I am covered in spider webs and something buglike was stuck to my lip gloss while trying to do this procedure.

Pulled the hummer up under the door receiver and stood from the sunroof. took the three steps to get it to work and on that third try it started about 6 inches from my head and scared the crap out of me...what a startle it gave me!

Kind of like Michelle Gellar in Scooby Doo movie doing that "Uh-huh, Uh-huh" dance.

Woo hoo!

Thanks you guys!
