Default Any thoughts on this?

So I had my H1 in for service. It needed a new radiator and installation as well as a new turbo. My truck is a 2004. Dealer quoted my about $2500.00 installed for the new radiator and $3000.00 for a new turbo. Anyone have any thoughts on whether this seems a bit high.

unless you can get it done under warenty, then those prices although high for any other vehicle, are what you can expect when you take it to a stealership to have work done. you may find that you get alot better satisfaction talking to a diesel technician. and much better prices. ar better still do it your self.

Having your turbo re-built at a good shop will run 600-800 (800 being a bit on the higher side). The replacement of a turbo is not too bad, just a PITA to get it out with the upper part over the manifold on. I think a stock radiator is around 1200 for the part, so the rest would be labor. IMO the prices are a bit high, but thats gonna be the norm at the dealer.
