Default Engine problem

Over the last few days I have noticed that when I turn the engine off on my H2 it doesn't always immediately shut down. It only runs for a sec or so before shutting down after I turn off the key and it doesn't do it every time. Any suggestions.....?

Does it "diesel" when you turn the ignition off? Or run like it's still getting fuel?

After I turn off the ignition the truck continues to run exactly as normal for approx 2 secs then shuts off. It happens about 1/3 of the time I **** the truck down.

Is it the original ignition switch on the column? Maybe it went bad - as we all know pretty common.

Actually, it's the 2nd ignition switch that I've had. The first one went out in 2005. When it failed my truck would not shift properly and the key wouldn't release from the ignition if I remember correctly. Does anyone know if the replacement ignition switch could be causing the problem?
