To have the GM rocker panel protection mounted and have step bars and the mud flaps? I have been reading that steps and mud flaps interfere with the mounting of the rocker panel protection. I'd like to go with a 285 Toyo Open Country A/T on stock rims, anybody have any experience or suggestions, how is the noise on the Toyo's? BF's maybe?

Try this. Flaps will fit with rocker bars http://elcova.com/groupee/forums/a/tpc/f/4871031121/m/6...941096641#7941096641

Yat - The mud flaps will fit with the rocker bars. If you got a pic of my white H3 when we were in Paragon you'll see them on there. When we go to Paragon next time I plan on removing them seeing as one got torn off on the last trail we were on.

As for shields. I got a 2'x25' roll of 30 mil magnetic sheet from Magnet King. You can get it in colors and it is a whole butt load cheaper than ready made skins, which as far as I know are NOT available for the H3 yet. Mine was less than $100 shipped and took maybe 45 minutes to an hour to cut and fit.

HiHummer has the BFG KO's on her truck and she did very well, although I like the ballsy look of the Toyo M/Ts better. If your local dealer can get then take a look at Pro Comp Tires. They are running a buy three, get one free deal through the end of March. Take a look at the XTerrain and Xtreme All Terrain tire. People on the forum have both and from what I have read like them alot. I am leaning heavilly towards the XTerrain. If possible I plan on finding a set of take-off wheels and mounting them with these tires and then switching tire/wheel combos as necessary.

Good Luck

As far as I know the shields are not yet available for the H3. I was going to do what Rob did and make my own but ended up buying some from Vincent that he made. They which should be here any day. I will see if I can find the site but found a 2'x50' roll for about $60. I may still go ahead and get a 25' roll in case I want to cover more.

After everyone's comments about the tires after the Paragon trip I went out this week and got the BFG KOs as well. Looking forward to seeing how they do next weekend.
