Default H2 Winch Controller Plug Relocation Warn/Milemarker

Ok so I went to use my winch at the Kinzalow's run in TN to pull an H3 out of some trouble only to realize it did not work. Not a good time to find out your winch is not working. Anyway...

After some trouble shooting I found out that the controller plug on the bumper was corroded so bad one of the pins on the inside was rusted completely out. I am assuming it was due to road salt working it's way into the plug as sometimes the cover will fall off.
You can see from my pic on the original install in January how bad the road salt blasts the front of the truck. Well it only takes one day of salt blasting into the plug to cause it it rust out quickly.

So I took the H1 controller plug and applied it to the H2. Take a look.

Its pretty much a rubber plug/cap. You just flip it off.

Try to squirt some petroleum jelly into the plug sockets.

I stole your idea?? Did you design the H1 Winch controller plug in??

I really turned out great. I was kinda worried about the wind on it a highway speeds but I think the hood helps to move the air over it just enough to not affect it at all.
