Well, okay not chrome....actually stainless steel, but nonetheless a whole lot better than those stock hooks.

You would think that this would be a simple job, well thanks to GM they made what should be a cake walk a little more time consuming. On with the pics!!

First the tow hooks have to come off....

So now what's holding the brackets on?!?!?!?

Well lets take some pieces off and see what is making this little suckers stay on.........

First the front chrome grille has to come off.....6 small little bolts and off it comes!

Nope, still not there......time to take off the skid plate!

Nope, still not gonna do it.....why not the whole front bumper!!!!!!

So what held these little brackets on you ask?? Well I am certain the brain work of GM with placing two USELESS 10mm bolts on the backside of the front bumper which can only be accessed by taking the whole front end off must have been placed there by some cruel joke I am unaware of....

Well after that little hassle......here's the after shots.......

And on to the back hook....must have been a better day for the guys at GM. They neglected that little extra bolt on the back hook!!!

And finally....... a couple front shots with the lower chrome grille added in for an added touch!

Thanks for the compliments!

Actually the install wasn't that bad at all. For the full install, including me taking pictures at every step and then the reassembly it didn't take more than 1 1\2 hours. I could do it again in probably 30 mins now that I know where all the bolts are located. RealWheels instructions for the tow hooks were actually really really well laid out and made the job pretty much hassle free!

The H3 has the tow package but it hasn't towed the quads yet.....actually they are in the process of being sold right now.

Here's a little extra pic of the garage floor. About 7 rolls of tape, ALOT OF PATIENCE, and here's what you end up with:

That is awesome.....I thought it was tile. It sounds like a lot of time went into painting it. I wonder if the paint would hold up in Minnesota's climate?

The paint has been on for 2 years now. That pic above was after I just finished. Here's another just as I was cleaning up:

I have a black h3 with lots of chrome. I love my hummer and think she's beautiful, but having shiny silver nipple rings? She's a truck not a stripper. Don't tell anyone, but I actually may get them.

On those two bolts holding the tow hooks to the bumper, my guess would be that the tow hook are sub-assembled to the bumper before being attached to the truck for easyier/quicker assembly in the plant.
