Groundpounder is on a distinguished road
Default Air intake question

Has anyone put on a K&N Aircharger Air Intake on an H3? If so; brand, model number? What were the results, sound, milage improvement or none, etc.?
Looking for extra milage and HP. Any suggestion?

Default Re: Air intake question

Groundpounder as a rule it will not hurt to improve air flow. It may even help a little. I have not had a chance yet to do some serious work with My partner Dragon on a H3. We have had 2 different rigs promised to let Us work on developing a turbo for it. They were willing to leave it a few months althought i do not think it woud have taken more than 20 or 30 days but, would rather they expect more time and then surprise. I have no numbers for You as model etc. but, felt that i have enough experience with air intake on many different rides that all thrown together it is hit and miss even with the same engine on the same model ride You get different results. Each motor just like the ride it is in is going to have it's own characteristics. I would not discourage you from it as it may do wonders for your ride and the next not a thing in fact saw with My eyes a new high performance intake system that cost $250 hurt the truck the guy put it on and it actually run worse. So it was a waste of money and someone got a good deal on aftermarket air intake. So see what You get with factory and get numbers with it all stock and add the improved intake and compare. I know H2's that run better performance wise with stock intake on than they do with the K&N setup. IF Your off road with H2 I would have factory on with a K&N filter. It will survive better from the rigs I know who are serious offroaders at Hot Springs Arkansas. It is about hour and a half from me maybe less.

But, Groundpounder take all the info You can get then just jump in and try it out for Yourself.

Good Luck with it.
