Av1ator is off the scale
Default H3 in the shop AGAIN

As you are driving along it gives you a Traction Control Failed Warning and Power Reduced Warning. No Power can hardly go up a hill! Pull over turn it off, let it sit a minute and the warnings go away, the check engine light stays on until it is parked for sometime, then goes off. IT maybe OK for the rest of the day or may fail again in 10 miles.

The dealer says it is something to do with the acclerator and no parts are available. So GM pays for me to ride in a rental for who knows how many weeks.

I am at 45,000 miles on my 06, GM has given me a 100,000 warrenty on the engine, what do you think the chances are I can get the rest of the drivetrain??

sorry to hear bout your troubles. the 100000 you got for the engine would that include electronics/sensors related to the engine, such as th3 problem you are having with the acc pedal now? if not than you might be better off, and have a better chance of getting a warranty extension on that stuff. just my opinion. not many things can go wrong with the drivetrain(maybe expensive but not too many), but with electronics, things can go wrong all over the place, ECM, sensors, pedal. and though they are cheper and easier to replace, there is alot more of them.

but theres only one way to find out. call them. good luck.

Accelerator, might be drive-by-wire (electronic), with coverage under the 100K emissions warranty, maybe...

yeah the H3 acc. pedal is drive by wire. The emission warranty covers things like that, i dint know that? how about sensors and ecm and other electronics on or around the engine?

The heck with that, I'd rather have GM pickup the tab for a GM extended warranty (at their minimal cost versus ripoff retail).
